Pal Experiences Founder and Chief Inclusion Officer Melanie Isaacs took home multiple awards from the Social Venture Partners Arizona Fast Pitch competition on Tuesday, March 28. She earned the Mentor's Choice award, as well as the Sustainability Solutions award from Arizona State University.
"It was an honor to tell Pal's story on stage with so many impactful Arizona innovators," Isaacs said after the event. "We all worked really hard throughout the process leading up to Fast Pitch, and to be recognized not only by an incredible educational institution like ASU, but also by 60+ business leaders who mentored us throughout the process, is just very humbling and rewarding."
Social Venture Partners is a global network of engaged donors who pair time with money in supporting local non-profits with mentorship and financial assistance. There are 40 network member organizations throughout the world. Fast Pitch is SVP's flagship event, which puts non-profit leaders in the hot seat, giving them only three minutes to "change the world" in front of community leaders and potential investors. SVPAZ representatives describe the event as a sort of "American Idol" for nonprofits.
